What will you learn
During the course you will be guided towards experiencing and understanding how mind-sets are reflected in and influence your body. You’ll learn to recognise unhelpful and self-limiting patterns of restriction and control including micro and macro trauma held inside.

Through bi-directional listening, you will discover a sensitivity of awareness through the mind to the body and through the body to the mind. The gradual development of this approach to both mental and somatic sensing leads to the restoration of vitality, agility and balance mentally, emotionally and physically.

This style of listening was first described in the earliest Buddhists texts and you will be encouraged and supported to develop your meditation practice in this way and shown how to bring this into all aspects of your yoga and life.

As part of the course there will be in depth exploration and discussion of eastern philosophy and western science to place your personal experience in the context of the ancient path of awakening. You will leave the course with a new perspective on the meaning and purpose of practice that you’ll be able to apply to all areas of daily life.
Who is it for
It is suitable for everyone, with physical adaptations appropriate for you. Perhaps you are looking to deepen your existing practice and understanding, or you wish to prepare for training to teach the Sukhita way, or you are looking to enhance your existing teaching practice. It builds your experience and understanding of the Sukhita approach with clarity and confidence and is designed to train you in what Sukhita Yoga teachers share.

Our teacher training course uses these skills as a foundation and trains you how to structure classes and work with individuals and groups safely and effectively. It is designed to train you how to teach and to give you the skills and experience to do so.
Schedule
The course runs over 6 months with 1 weekend per month and regular review sessions to embed the learning and practice throughout the course between modules.
