Why this course
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone light up, the surprise and pleasure they experience when connection happens, connection with something deeper that’s been obscured by all of life’s distractions, demands and expectations. This course is about re-learning that subtle language, the one that recognises the support and affirmation we look for externally is available inwardly.
Connecting in this way leads to the experience of an uncomplicated joy; the joy that comes from release and is at the root of a meaningful happiness that comes from within. Some happiness in life is bright, shiny, fun; this is calm, grounded, spacious and whole. Re-connecting with this each day
re-charges, restores and rejuvenates. It brings you back to what is important and of real value.
What will you learn
During the course you will be guided towards experiencing and understanding how mind-sets are reflected in and influence your body. You’ll learn to recognise unhelpful and self-limiting patterns of restriction and control including micro and macro trauma held inside.
Through bi-directional listening, you will discover a sensitivity of awareness through the mind to the body and through the body to the mind. The gradual development of this approach to both mental and somatic sensing leads to the restoration of vitality, agility and balance mentally, emotionally and physically.
This style of listening was first described in the earliest Buddhists texts and you will be encouraged and supported to develop your meditation practice in this way and shown how to bring this into all aspects of your yoga and life.
As part of the course there will be in depth exploration and discussion of eastern philosophy and western science to place your personal experience in the context of the ancient path of awakening. You will leave the course with a new perspective on the meaning and purpose of practice that you’ll be able to apply to all areas of daily life.
