"an exceptional learning experience" "The focus on practical experience supported by theory and science honours the heritage of the teaching whilst making it bang up to date and relevant for modern life." 2015 student “Hugh and Sarah have a teaching style that is different, different because they allow you to take control of your own learning. There is a softness and patience that is not present in many yoga schools, and yet they get so much out of you, we work very hard, it is intense, most importantly it is transformative.” 2016 student I was looking for a teacher training course for some time, and then I went to one of Sarah’s classes and I knew I’d found something quite different. I then went back to a class with both Sarah and Hugh, and knew then these were the people I wanted to train with. The style of yoga they teach is not like anything I’ve found anywhere else. Working from a place of softness, opening and balance rather than striving and strength came both as a revelation and as a sense of deep recognition to me, and the difference I feel in my practice as a result is huge. So, we’ve done 1 week so far, 2 more to go… What would I say about the first week? Well, there’s no denying it’s intense! I’d say I found it challenging, edgy, exhausting, and… also… fun, fascinating, and inspiring! Alongside the expected yoga asana teaching practice, working with adjustments and sequencing, we’ve studied Buddhist philosophy and relaxation techniques as well as had sessions with an amazing dance teacher and fantastic voice coach. We are working on all levels! Now we’re in a period of rest and consolidation between the first and second weeks - a time for study, reflection, observation and practice, practice, practice! I’m really glad I chose this teacher training course - Hugh’s many and strongly dedicated years of meditation, yoga and study and both his and Sarah’s deeply embodied practice are hugely inspiring. I can already feel the positive impact this new journey is having on my life and I’m really looking forward to continuing the adventure. 2018 Student Doing this training course with Hugh and Sarah Haden was quite transformational for me and I feel more connected to my mind and body than ever before, My own physical yoga practice has deepened, as has my confidence to now step up and teach others. Hugh's 30+ years experience of yoga and mindfulness practice mean this particular training comes from a place of rich personal knowledge and embodied wisdom. Hugh is a patient and compassionate teacher and actively encouraged each of us on the training course to find our own voice from which to teach. I feel that through the process of this training, I have opened up places in myself that I want to keep leaning into and understanding more. And if I were to sum this training up to someone in one sentence, I'd say: Be prepared to dig deep; expect to find gold.
