Embodied Mindfulness 2017
60hr foundation teacher training
£575
accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals
for yoga teachers and practitioners and other body work professionals.
April 8 - 11 Oxfordshire
May 14 Oxfordshire
A 60hr embodied mindfulness teacher training for yoga teachers and practitioners over 5 days plus a daily self practice and study between modules.
Embodied mindfulness develops a subtle and potent experience of the body as a map of the mind revealing the body’s natural intelligent strength directly through body sensation. This leads to a very different experience of moving with ease and balance whether on or off the mat.
Learning to teach embodied mindfulness encourages practitioners to see the connection between mind states and body experience and how the tension created by traditional notions of strength is an obstacle to balance.
The foundation training is designed to extend a personal mindfulness practice from which to integrate the teaching into regular classes and personal practice. It is suitable for teachers and practitioners of all styles of yoga. It includes:
- the embodiment of mindfulness in movement and asana practice
- the practical relevance of Buddhist philosophy
- instruction in how to use the practice of yoga to enhance the insight from mindfulness and
- instruction in how to lead meditation.
